The new EMP 156 from Ricoh Printing Systems America (RPSA) is a robust
monochrome printer with a compact footprint, designed to meet the
most rigorous production printing requirements. It has the same high
level of quality workmanship and reliability as the DDP product line
and extends the printing technology to meet high-volume production,
around-the-clock printing. The EMP 156 is a revolutionary cut-sheet
engine design that incorporates advanced paper handling technology
derived from Ricoh’s industry recognized high-end continuous
forms printing systems. The ease of maintenance at the operator level
with RPSA’s responsive service programs ensures that performance
is optimal in the data center, central reproduction department, or
service bureau.

The extremely high duty cycle of the EMP 156 ensures that production
environments can achieve the maximum throughput required to meet
their printing demands. The EMP 156 has also been designed for
optimum flexibility in adapting to near-line or off-line finishing
options. Through vacuum-fed input trays the EMP 156 supports
a wide variety of media up to 14.2” x 18” paper that
can be combined with near-line finishing capabilities such as
booklet making, folding, trimming, and hole punching to produce
professional, cost-effective, quality documents. The EMP 156
is a highly reliable printer with quality output and performance,
production-ready up time, and rugged hardware durability.

Maximum Input & Output*
Order the EMP 156 engine with any combination of High Capacity
Feeders and Container Stackers to optimize the printing system
for your needs. The EMP 156 printer includes two input bins,
which hold up to 3,500 sheets in total. You can expand the input
volume up to 15,500 sheets by adding two more High Capacity Feeders,
which hold 6,000 sheets each. For output, the EMP 156 comes with
1 standard Sample Tray, which stacks 100 sheets and one Container
Stacker, which stacks 4,000 sheets with Job Offset. For higher
production needs, you can add one more Container Stacker for
another 4,000 sheets and expand the output volume up to 8,100
sheets in total.
